Algeria is a country in North Africa and has a desert climate with extremely hot summer temps and warm winter temps. The land area is only 919,595 square miles. Most of Algeria gets very little rain except for the Eastern portion of Algeria. Algeria has a population of 34,985,000 people of whom almost all are Muslims (99%). Fresh water resources are next to zero.

The United States is in North America and has many different climatic zones including, alpine, temperate, maritime & sub tropical and some desert. The land area of 3,794,101 sq mi making the USA 4,120 times larger than Algeria. The entire USA gets adequate precipitation except for the desert area out West. The USA has 9 times the population that Algeria has and people are free to have their own religious beliefs whereas in Algeria they do not have that freedom. The USA has plenty of fresh water resources while Algeria does not. The United States government is a freely elected democratic government and Algeria also has a democratic government.

Personal income is much higher in the USA than it is in Algeria. Algeria does have a lot of oil & gas reserves as does the United States.

Algeria is better than USA in many things: oil and people in Algeria are more friendly than in US plus the people in Algeria help others:Palestine( all muslims) but in the US they just kill others thinking that Muslims are Isis .

As in what they are called, how they are spelled.

As in where they are, they are on different continents.

As in how far apart they are, they are 4,204.2 miles, 6,766.1 kilometers, or 3,651 nautical miles From Buffalo, New York, to Algeria's capital, Algiers)

And that pretty much sums it up.

Quite a lot! For a start, one's on one side of the Atlantic and the other is on the other side - or rather bordering the Med., to be precise. And the difference in surface area is significant, too.

And then there is the Politics . . . . oh, my.

Like 15,000 miles! That is a rough guess too. The Sahara desert is another difference!
