why is OBAMA challenging the Arizona immigration law?
The FED has failed to provide any real solution to the immigration problem ( mostly because WASHINGTON isn't affected by millions of illegal aliens) so, Arizona, bold and beautiful, decides that they have to protect their own borders. instead of praising these pioneers, he challenges the legality of the law. ain't that great? instead of backing legislation that would help us identify and remove these unwanted, uninvited 'guests', he attacks the people that brought a solution, and I think that makes him anti-american. he's ok with letting our local economies go to the pavement feeding, housing and medically treating these millions of undocumented, no tax-paying people. great. what do YOU think?
yeah, Aaron, is it? I don't know what STUDIES you've been looking into, but illegals can't even PAY taxes, unless they break another law and use someone else's social security number! dude, while you're throwing out these terms like 'studies show...' make sure there IS a study. irrelevant. that's what this comment is. it is a farce.
also, which is worse? racial profiling or sneaking into our country and sucking the system dry with welfare foodstamps, medical care.........I'd rather be a profiler.

I seen the US governments argument against Arizona's law what a joke. They intend to use some humanitarian clause to attack arizona's law and present the argument that illegal immigration enforcement concentrates on illegals that commit crimes rather than obey laws, that the projected cost to round up every illegal alien would be at 25 billion and take five years to accomplish and the resources are not available to do this.
I say bull ****. They are here illegally and I don't care if they obey the law or not they broke it when they crossed our border without immigrating lawfully. 5 years and 25 billion really!! How about secure the border so no new illegals can enter, then make it federal law that if any employer hires an illegal alien an automatic 5 year prison sentence. They will be lining up to get back to mexico, and it want take 5 years either. But the reality is the Democrats see a vast new class of welfare recipients they can ploy for there elections for along time to come and that's why they will do anything possible to give them amnesty it guarantees them power.

Studies have shown that illegal aliens pay more into the society than they take out. They often times pay income, and social security taxes, and they always pay sales tax. That doesn't mean that they should be here, they shouldn't, but this is not really a big deal. Politicians are using this issue to try and create the feeling that the democrats are easy on crime, while the Republicans are trying to protect us from the invaders from the south. The Republicans held the congress and the white house for 6 straight years. The Republicans have had a long time to do something about the immigration issue, and the only thing that they have ever offered were amnesties. The Republicans love cheap labor, so they love illegal immigration.
This law is unconstitutional because the constitution grants the power to regulate immigration to the feds, not the state. There are also racial profiling issues that this brings up.

Read the Constitution paying special attention to Article 1, Section 8 and Article 6, paragraphs 2 and three.
Ain't it funny how so many Republicans/Tea Party/Conservatives use the Constitution as their rally cry but have NOT read it, or only agree with the parts they want.
All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

Arizona bill 1070 Article 8 section E
"A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, WITHOUT A WARRANT, MAY ARREST A PERSON IF THE OFFICER HAS PROBABLE CAUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THE PERSON HAS COMMITTED ANY PUBLIC OFFENSE THAT MAKES THE PERSON REMOVABLE FROM THE UNITED STATES."
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. Clearly any law that gives the police the right to detain anyone who they suspect of being "illegal" is unconstitutional. But then again the conservatives haven't cared about the U.S. Constitution for the past 10 years.
