Atheists, explain these biblical prophecies coming true?

"In the end times, there will be wars and rumors of wars."

"The world will push for a new world order."

China is on the rise, and will buy our debt... Soon the world will be one government.

Care to explain?

There is no evidence supporting your claims, no specific events foretold supported with mathematical certainty.

Anyone could safely predict any number of world trends through the power of reason. This ability is not reserved for the prophets.

Well it's not in the Bible, but we've already gone through multiple "new world orders" since the Bible was written. The Roman Empire fell, giving way to the Middle Ages. That was a pretty huge shift in the world order! Then Islam swept across the Middle East and Muslims came to control Israel - another new world order. Then we saw the rise of nation-states replace feudal societies in Europe - another new order. Then came the Enlightenment, and countries all over the world replaced monarchies with democracies - a huge change to the world order. The came the Age of Imperialism, when a few European countries conquered literally half the world. I'd call that a new world order. Then the Cold War came along, and most of the world was divided between two superpowers - yet another change in world order.

So yes, that "prophecy" has come true many times in the last 2000 years. I predict it will happen many more times in the next 2000 years.

China actually doesn't have much money, they ship things for so little money that they barely break even. And all of the money that is made is concentrated in the coastal cities, everyone else in the country is dirt poor (over a billion people in China live on $2000 or less a year). This has happened in China's history many times, the coastal cities do a bunch of trading and get wealthy then those that live inland (who are by far the majority) get pissed and revolt (last time it was led by Mao Zedong) they will win the civil war and close the country off to foreigners and then it starts all over again. And there have always been rumors of wars, and actual wars, in every country through any period in history.

Biblical prophecies are what's known as "Sweeping Generalizations," and anybody can predict those.

    Watch...I can do it easily...

"And lo and behold, in the future, there will be war, and famine, and meteors will rain down on the Earth, and governments will be corrupt, and gullible people will believe that the information in The Bible is somehow valid in modern times, and people will die, and animals will be eaten, and there will be a lot of crime, and the sky will be polluted, and new orders will arise, and old orders will fall, and women will give birth to bloody babies, and spaceships will blow up upon re-entry, and Prime Time Television will be filled with mindless reality shows, and Evangelists will continue to brow beat people, and preachers will continue to bore the living hell out of their congregation by spouting the same old same old again and again and again, and people will come down with all kinds of cancers, and The Cubs will win the World Series eventually, and oceans will become more polluted, and whales will die in large numbers, and...

Biblical prophecy is simply predicting things that always happen.

Whenever a 3rd World Country becomes the victim of warring superpowers, it always seems like the end of the world to them, but one thing I can assure you of is this...

Life will go on...and what difference does it make if everybody dies together or not? We all die individually eventually no matter what. Death is always a "solitary" event for everyone.

There are over 300 prophecies given in the Old Testament concerning Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection. All of these were fulflled in the New Testament with phenomenal accuracy, without exception. According to the laws of probability, this is a mathematical impossibilty. It cannot happen by random chance.

In Grant Jeffery's book "The Signature of God" the question is asked what is the chance that 17 of 48 major prophecies would come to pass. The culculation was 1 chance in 480 billion x1 billion x 1 trillion. This proves that there was an intelligence orchestrating these prophecies that is infinately greater than man's

If an atheist would acknowledge this, then he would have to concede the God exists. Fortunately, there are some ex-atheists like Lee Strobel, on investigating the evidence were converted to Christianity.

There is another kind of atheist who will resists irrefutable evidence that is mathematical, scientific or even logical because of an emotional bias. There are even some that wallow in deception that atheism is even intellectual, when in fact it is anti-intellectual.

I have found two types of atheists. One that resists truth because of ignorant skepticism. You can detect it because their argements are shallow. The other kind of atheist has the knowledge, but through self-hypnosis, struggles in self-deception. Both types are really intellectually dishonest. Sometimes there is a measure of revealed knowledge of God, or even a witness of Christ, but they reject it. If they do not repent their punishment will be greater.

this is like if I say "sometime in the future a huge fire will consume a community" or "a great structure will fall one day" of course it is going to happen and there are always new orders coming about and rumors of war and it never talk about China. and how about you explain these for me

*Scientific studies and experiments show our emotions are due to chemical reactions in our brain.

*Why should we live our lives for someone else when we could live them for ourselves and be happy

*Dinosaurs: the Bible only talks about humans being the dominant creatures on Earth, though we know dinosaurs existed. Why were they left out?

*The Bible contradicts itself. It talks about love and peace, then about God telling people to go to war with other people. Why?

*If God created the Universe then He also probably created violence with it. Why would a loving god create violence, destruction, and war among the people who believe in him?

*The Bible says that a burning bush told a person to build an enormous ark to carry 2 of every animal. Even today we couldn't make something that large!

*Why does god talk about damning people such as gay people? He says he loves everyone. So why wouldn't he want them to be happy?

*Christians do not have any proof other than bible verses -which are only words that are supposedly Gods word- and so called miracles (I know about miracles and cases in which they occurred and many cases in which they did not).

*How are people able to telepathically communicate with someone you can't see or hear (but read about in stories) but He cannot talk to you?

"In the end times, there will be wars and rumors of wars."

    These have always existed.

"The world will push for a new world order."

    Paranoia has always existed.

China is on the rise, and will buy our debt... Soon the world will be one government.

    (See above)

There have always been wars. I fail to see the connection between our debt and China causing a one world government.

Already satellite systems provide target information, the ability to monitor enemy movements, secure troop communication systems and weapons guiding. Space, as the United States Space Command put it, is "the fourth medium of warfare". Ceremonies were performed where Roman general triumph chariot is drawn by white horse. "Thus Mithra marks on the forehead his own soldiers," said Tertullian. In this way the solemn vow of the initiate as a soldier of Mithra was as indelibly impressed upon his mind is the seal was on his forehead. Today Digital Angel would set up its own monitoring station to check on its militaries employing the implant will want to maintain their own monitoring stations for security purposes. American soldiers may be required to wear the implant so their whereabouts and health conditions can be accessed at all times.

The device's patent describes it as a rescue beacon for kidnapped children and missing persons. The implant will save money by reducing resources used in rescue operations for athletes, including mountain climbers and skiers. Law enforcement may employ the implant to keep track of criminals under house arrest, as well as reduce emergency response time by immediately locating individuals in distress. The device also has the ability to monitor the user's heart rate, blood pressure and other vital functions. So that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name Rev.13: 17. Beginning July 15, 2001 Applied Digital Solutions will begin beta testing on humans an implant technology capable of allowing users to emit a homing beacon, have vital bodily functions monitored and confirm identity when making e-commerce transactions. The first production run of these devices has begun, the Florida-based, NASDAQ-traded company has announced. The company plans to market the device for a number of uses, including as a "tamper-proof means of identification for enhanced e-business security."
