how to make file to play on DVD player?

In what format do I have to make a video file to play on a regular DVD player, to watch on TV. Also, what is best converter and video maker to do this. I have video file on my blackberry and want to make a dvd to play on dvd player to watch on tv. thanks.

    You could try a program called "convert x to dvd". It converts many file types to DVD.

    AVS Video Converter is great. That's what I use and it's perfect. You'll have a watermark in front of the video once you convert it though so you'll have to find someone with registration info.
