what is the biggest weakness of the NY Jets?

By far the Jets' biggest weakness is the inexperience of their QB, Mark Sanchez. However, it is more of a question mark than a weakness. At first glance he had a terrible season, but if you watched him play, or even just took the extra 30 seconds to look at his game log, you'd see that 11 of his 20 interceptions came in just three games, so that's 9 interceptions over his other 12 starts, which is more than acceptable for a rookie QB that started less than 15 games in college.
After that they do lack a pass rushing specialist that isn't far past his prime. Last year they were able to consistently generate pressure, but that was almost solely due to Rex Ryan's scheme and they didn't have that one guy that could pin his ears back and consistently get after the QB. Ideally Jason Taylor will fill this role and get around 8-10 sacks, given Rex's ability to get his players to play to their strengths, and though Jason Taylor is very one dimensional at this point he should still be able to at the very least be an effective pass rusher.
Their other question mark is the health of their running backs. Shonn Greene is a much more explosive and talented runner than Thomas Jones, but he isn't as durable, and obviously LaDanian Tomlinson has had nagging injuries the past couple years. However, their phenomenal offensive line almost guarantees that they will have an effective running game no matter who's carrying the rock. In this day and age running games are almost solely due to blocking, and a running back has to be really awful to not be effective behind a line as talented as the Jets. Though they did cut Alan Faneca who was a competent run blocker, they ran the majority of their runs to the right side, which is still fully intact.

Well my team the New York Jets have mabye some weakness is the QB Sanchez first I trust he will have good year but looking at last year it would be first guy to look at for weak wise then New Kicker Nick Folk he miss a 19 yard kick but has made the Pro Bowl and made two kicks vs Bills on MNF for 51 yards but its hard to say they have good team for now

besides a the QB umm the fact that the defense can't get any sacks the defense looks good because they get a lot of pressure but lets not forget the defense couldn't get any sacks in the last 6 games of the season as in the reason they were 9-7 and not 13-3 which is how the NY fans talk about the J-E-T-s
@ shooter wtf Sanchez proves his rookie year wasn't a fluke really he had 20+ INT's that isn't a good year so what is the thing he has to prove was a fluke he had three 4+ INT games

I don't think that have a legitimate weakness they only have a liability. Mark Sanchez is not a weakness, but their success is contingent on how well he plays all season and in the playoffs. They have two great runningbacks (Greene and Tomlinson), three starting caliber wide receivers (Edwards, Cotchery, Holmes), the best offensive line in my opinion (Ferguson, Ducasse, Mangold, Moore, Woody), and the NFL's best defense. Their kicking and punting could improve but is certainly adequate, and their return game is excellent.

the EGO of the players , revis thinks he should be the highest player , Holmes and Edwards both caused the steelers and browns locker room grief , mark sanchez will try to act like joe namath , but will have a bad year. LT thinks he can still win a MVP trophy , but have considerable knee issues. Also the locker room will have be really really bad

Defense is stacked, nice running game, unproven receiversSource(s): meant that Sanchez needs to prove his rookie year WAS a fluke, my bad it looked right when I was typing it
