Are there a lot of hills in the city of Albuquerque, like there are in El Paso, Texas?

I'm new to the area and would like to visit Alb., I just want to know if the driving is about the same as in El paso. El Paso is (in some area's) just going up and down hills, which I'm not used to. Does anybody know if Alb. is the same. Thanks

Albuquerque is basically flat. There are few hills of any mention. However the Sandia Mountains are just a short distance to the east.

Albuquerque is flat, but the city is surrounded by ugly mountains. I really don't like that place. I felt like I was cut off from the rest of the world. I'll never go back.
