Is it legal for a 17 year old to work in a restaurant, in regards to serving alcohol?

    You CAN work there. You may not, however, be a server there if alcohol is involved. You could be a cook or something in the back... or even a host/hostess. I have worked in a restaurant where the servers brought the alcohol to the table and I was 17, I just wasn't allowed to touch the drinks. I had to get someone else to bring them to the table.

    In order to serve alcohol and even work in a restaurant you have to be 18+. Some restaurants do require you to be at least 21.

    You can work in the restaurant, but you can not serve alcohol. Someone else would have to take it to the table for you.

    Well we had a restraunt were I live and there were 11 year old kids working there and they served alcohol, it was a family restraunt, but I do not think it is legal until you are 18. No matter if it is a family restraunt.

    Hell na, its illegal to be around alcohol until 21 years old what makes you think they gone let you serve it

    it depends which country ur in.. but definately not at 17.. its either 18 or 21
