Where can I get Doc Marten boots? And about the tag and sewing lines, how do I hide them? Best Answer!?

I really love the style, I think it is so cute, and I love how vintage they look when they are worn in. :3 So I was wondering, where would it be best to buy them? I am a size 6, and I don't want used Doc Martens. But I like the look here:

It looks like the tag is tucked behind the shoe, and the soles/sewing lines are black. On the website I can only see yellow lining which looks ugly to me ;P could someone help me find just basic all black doc martens like these? Thank you :D

Update:

huhu she, that link almost did something bad to my computer...my virus protection found and prevented it. next time you give out links like that i suggest you make sure they are safe.

Update 2:

* oh, those look really cute :D but I want ones that aren't so high on the ankle, like the one the girl has in my link. how high do you think those would be?

You can get them at zappos.com. They aren't vintage, but at least you know you'll be getting the right size. As for the tag and seams, you could always cut the tag off or tuck it into the shoe and color the seams with a permanent black marker. But honestly that would be ruining a pair of Docs.

These have the black seams but sit a little higher than the other styles:

Well, the boot shaft height on these is 7 inches, so it might be a little higher than an ankle boot. Here are some that are definitely a little shorter, but you would have to deal with the yellow seams.

Ebay might have some vintage ones too.

Docs are already an old fad, so they wouldn't be a new fad, they'd be a retro fad :) They were really popular in the early 80's, (headbangers & punks) and again, (but wayy more so) in the early to mid 90's during the grunge era. It was annoying then, when everyone suddenly went out and bought them, even all the little super preppy girls. My first Docs were dark red and so shiny that they looked very deep. They were my "ruby slippers" :) My friend says her first pair were sparkly and covered in a retro flower pattern. I don't even know if they make those anymore, or if they went back to black, (which are kinda classic, anyway).
