would you want someone filing down your teeth? no.

NO!! Cat's teeth are that sharp for eating food, the only time it is ok to file teeth is if your vet says they are too long which very rarely happens. Cat food is very hard and cats need their super sharp teeth for crushing it as well as defending themselves. Unless your vet tells you otherwise, filing a cats teeth does more harm then good.

This better not be a serious question.

Cat's 'fangs' are supposed to be sharp. It's part of being *a cat*.

Answer: No. You can damage the teeth worse.

Absolutely NOT!!! Cats have 2 ways of defending themselves...

    1) Nails- they climb and scratch!

    2) Teeth- they Bite as a last resort!

    Plus HOW will they Eat?!?!

No,cats have nerves in their teeth just like we do,if you file down your cats teeth it would be very pain full and may cause some problems for your cat.

If you have a kitten and it is biting you, this is normal for a kitten to do,it's part of "the kitten stage".

It is possable for vets to pull cats teeth, but please do not get you cat/or kittens teeth pulled.

No and why would you? Cats are supposed to have sharp teeth. They are carnivores. If you have a biting problem you need to train.

No, you're not a cat dentist and you'll hurt the cat and damage its teeth

That sounds so cruel! you can actually get through the enamel and it will be really painful. Please don't do that! Just teach our cat not to bite. I've taught mine. Get a spray bottle and spray it and tell it NO when it's bitting and get the cat toys.

sure it is! just give a 1/5 of a crushed up sleeping pill and start fileling down. Dont over do it but just to the point that it is blunt and rounded. If you go to far your cat will get an infected tooth and the tooth will decay and fall off.

Source(s): I've seen people file dogs teeth to make it sharper. It was safe and only for intimidation reasons because the dog had such messed up teeth it couldnt scare a living thing.
