why do you concentrate upon the 'differences', grasshopper?
it reminds me of a story that i read long ago about a nun who visited the worst of prisoners in maximum security cells, and prayed for them etc.
someone asked her how she could possibly work with these vicious criminals and her answer was the following:
she took a white napkin and put a small dot on it with a pen. she then asked the questioner, "what do you see?"
the response was, "a dot on this napkin."
the nun then said, "that is what most people see, but i see a white napkin. the dot on this napkin represents the sin, and the white napkin represents the soul. i choose to see the good in others instead of concentrating upon their sin."
this story was much better in print, and it had a profound impact upon me... i remember it to this day... so i will share it with you in love... insha'Allah.
i love both Islam and Christianity very much. i do not see very many differences between them. we both love the LORD, if we are faithful to God.
Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
edit: that is a very good answer Geezah. looks like you learned something from that class. :)
