如果你是香港中文大學的學生，相信必定知道那裏是烽火台
(不清楚的各位可先看下圖)。烽火台是中大生活不可或缺的部份，翻開歷史有無數大事在烽火台進行，直至現今亦是同學相約的好地點，「向 U Lib.
行就 First Hon.、倒轉行就 Grad. 唔到」亦是每位中大生都知的中大趣事。近來中大搞「文化徑」，網站首頁也用烽火台作底圖。這個雕塑其實並不像鋒火台，作為中大學生又有多少人知道其來歷呢？早前有同學在新聞組說在外國見到一模一樣的雕塑，難道這是外國人的作品？

剛才看港台的新一輯「傑出華人系列」，介紹雕刻家朱銘。在介紹他的第二個作品系列「太極」時，提及了我們所謂「烽火台」的雕刻。原來這件作品名叫「門」，是太極的一種對拆姿勢，當年朱銘亦曾到中大主持揭幕儀式。翻查「中大文化徑」網頁，更有以下圖解：
