You can bring makeup with you onto an airplane! Whether or not it has metal on it is NOT an issue, trust me. If they let you bring your keys with you onto the plane, they'll let you bring a lipstick that has a metal case.
What can't you bring onto an airplane? Well, anything that contains more than 3.4 oz of liquid or gel. (Liquid makeup would be stuff like lip gloss [not lipstick], liquid concealer, etc.) If you're trying to bring a 4 oz container of moisturizer, they won't let you put it in your carry-on; you'll have to put it in your checked baggage. For the liquid makeup that IS 3.4 oz or less, which most of it should be, you will have to fit it all into one quart-sized Ziploc bag. They are pretty strict on this. If you have anything liquid bigger than 3.4 oz, no matter what it is, they'll force you to either throw it away or put it in your checked luggage.

Actually, the TSA website has everything on it.
They don't talk about makeup specifically, because makeup falls into one of these categories: liquid, gel, cream, lotion, paste and aerosol. Any, and all, items that are of that type must be in containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less. All of those containers must be in a 1 qt. zip lock bag, and the bag must be able to close normally.
Each ticketed passenger may take only 1 such bag with them in a carry on bag.
Powders and solids do not have to be, and should not be, in that zip lock bag.
In checked luggage, you can take almost any liquid, gel, paste etc. in any quantity that you want.

Yes, but bring only solid make-up because some airlines don't allows lip shiner or gloss. Just put it on your check-in luggage.
