Good book about dissatisfaction with society?

I need a good book to read.

I was thinking along the lines of 'Catcher in the Rye' or 'Nineten Eighty Four'

Thanks :)

Cloud Atlas by David Mitchells was brilliant. It's six connected short stories, and each looks at all the different ways humans take advantage of each other. One of them, in particular, is set in the future and is told from the point of view of a clone created specifically to work/be a slave in a fast food restaurant. I would say that story's better than Nineteen-Eighty-Four, just because it was written a few years ago so the ideas within it are very central to the issues in today's society.
