How do I connect my Macbook to my HDTV?

I have a white Macbook for $999.99. It came out around the same time as the Titanium Macbooks were out. I want to use Boxee (Application) on my TV like it was supposed to be and I want to connect it to my TV but in HD picture, preferably 1080p. What do I need to do this?

Bjorn is right in that on most laptops today you need to use a DVI to HDMI cable.

Here are the Specs on your laptop your choices are to use either the SVHS port or the Mini-DVI port that Apple started to use then went over to the full size DVI port.

The cable in question would be the Mini-DVI to HDMI

Also your going to need an audio out as well for your port looka something like this

As for Boxee cool program and it does seem to have a following I just hope it stays in there as I love the interface.

Well, depending on the version of the Macbook you have, you will need either an HDMI cable or a DVI to HDMI cable. Which one you needs depends on what port your macbook has.

If it has HDMI, you just need a standard HDMI cable.

If it has DVI, then you need a DVI to HDMI cable.
