Why does Napolitano think she can lie to us so frequently?
Napolitano border 'facts' disputed

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano wrote on Friday that the nation's border is more secure than ever ("If you look at facts, border is more secure than ever," Opinions). She goes on to proclaim that the Obama "administration has made every conceivable effort to secure our border."
Let's look at what the administration has allegedly accomplished.
Secretary Napolitano claims that Border Patrol agents have doubled from 10,000 to 20,000. But the build-up was well under way before President Obama was even elected.
There were already 18,000 agents along the border in 2008, and 2,000 more were already funded and being hired before January 2009.
She states that the president has requested 1,200 National Guard troops to be sent to the border, but that's only one-fifth of the amount that was deployed in 2006 (and the situation today is far worse than it was then).
Moreover, the 1,200 Guardsman she mentions would be assigned to desk jobs, not border security.
Action speaks louder than words. The administration's head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently suggested his agency will not accept or process illegal immigrants turned over by local Arizona law enforcement.
The Department of Justice has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the Arizona law that would sanction employers who hire illegal immigrants.
And Attorney General Eric Holder is devoting "round-the-clock" resources to devise ways to sue Arizona over its new immigration enforcement laws.
Meanwhile, illegal immigrants continue to flood into the United States - roughly 500,000 in 2009 alone, half of whom came through our state.
It's been said statistics can be manipulated to prove anything.
How do you stop it? You throw them out of office when you can, but until then.. how can it be stopped?

Napolitano is just another Obama dupe spewing party line. The border conspiracy rages as they continue to play games with our lives by letting illegal alien scum invade our country. The great country we once knew is turning into a huge pile of shlt.

All of the charges in this 'question' are straight off the lips of theright wing radio dummies. Propaganda and disinformation as follows: The borders are more secure than ever, but that doesn't mean they're totally secure. So what if the 'build up' was under way...did Janet slow down the effort? 'Desk work' frees up officers for patrol...that's not a plus? Nobody in the government has said they won't accept Arizon illegals. As there actually is some question as to the legality of the Arizona law, the federal government has an obligation to run this by the court system. They don't pick and chose what laws they will or won't enforce. If there's a question about the legality of a law as in this case the courts are the place to go for a legal reading. The flood of illegals has to do with the hiring of illegals, something the 'business community' has been illegally doing for years. Enforcing those sanctions takes manpower an money that aren't available in our 'don't tax me' reality.

When did you ever hear the previous secretaries Ridge or Chertoff admitting that the border was going to hell in a handbasket? and the number of border patrol agents did double even if that started under the Bush administration. DHS believes that the numbers of people entering illegally has gone down in the past several years and reported that the total number of illegal aliens has gone down as well. 10,000 new border patrol agents should have had some effect, don't you think? if they didn't, there would be no point in hiring more.

She has not lied. You are really stretching your comments out attempting to make it seems as if she has. She and President Obama, as well as many of us in the public, are well aware the Mexican border build up started as part of the previous administrations war on terror. Nobody in the current administration is taking credit for that.

Your definition of the word "lie" is fairly idiosyncratic and self-centered, By your way of thinking, anyone who disagrees with you about anything is telling "lies." That's kind of narcissistic, don't you think?

You are spending way too much time checking facts and such, when you could be out there on the border with your fellow shotgun swinging, natty light drinking, denim vest shirt and pants wearing, garth brooks singing, mexican *** whooping closed-minded friends helping to stop them illegals from coming in. oh woops I meant your fellow Arizona statesmen.
