Do Democrats not understand that with Obamacare businesses will DROP the heath coverage for their employees?
Why do they need to carry it as all people are NOW being required to have it. They do not need to have it and can therefore save money.
Yes - those brilliant Democrats again...
Yes, Yes.. all you pro-Obama people with health insurance from your companies. You will have none soon through them and be required to pay much higher taxes AND your own health insurance...
I LOVE OBAMA!!!

It is likely will be the final stroke of the Obama administration. When the fair minded tolerant people who elected Obama see that the insurance benefits that they worked hard to obtain over the years will be dropped so that they too can go join the Obamacare mobs, they will truly understand what this means to them. The media and Obama hammered the idea that it is barbaric for you to have insurance and others not but they never mentioned that your health care will necessarily decrease. Teachers, unions and government workers who struggled for years for benefit packages to offset the fact that they wokred in the public sector for a lower base wage...well that will go. Political Boards of Education will sit down, look at their budgets and see that they can meet the requiremetn of assuring their teachers and service personnel have health care insurance by putting them into the govenrment health care program (right now its called welfare but that won't do so the name will be changed and the benefits will remain the same). Its a great way for greedy politicans and corporation to see a huge profit when they cut off the insurance benefit programs. So many were convinced that the benefits would be better but in fact they will be much worse. Health care will not get better it will get much worse. While we were all focused on the socialist view of health care...the rich, wealthy doctors..we ignored that our health care insurance pays the hospitals to be better, to do research, to provide better equipment. We are all heading for third world medical care. Thank you very much. Yeah the teacher who educates our kids for a lesser wage will lose the one thing they did have, medical care for their own families...and politicians will point out that millions can be saved from the local educaiton budget by sending the teachers to the welfare insurance programs. Miner,s mill workers, cops, firemen...all are going to lose what Obama called Cadillac health care benefits.

Exactly then business could do what its supposed to do, make a profit from what it was incorporated to do. I thought Republicans loved business so why ask that they take on this burden?
Not become a shill for the insurance industry, not have to deal with angry health insurance policyholders who don't like their policy, not have to act as go between, not have to be in a business they don't know, and not have to add that cost to the cost of doing business, even with the tax breaks they get.
Which is what so many companies were already doing, dropping insurance, especially from lower level workers. You don't save money by not having insurance, you take a gamble. You gamble you won't get hurt or sick and if you lose you lose everything.
Unless you have nothing anyway.
Business in no other country has to go through the hoops finding good benefits for their workers, not to mention in most retail businesses or small businesses there isn't insurance offered.
Wal mart for that matter offered no insurance and made sure their workers weren't qualified to get any by making them all part timers at 39 1/2 hours and no more, until it was pointed out to them that their workers made up the largest pool of people on Medicaid and they got embarrassed enough to offer a plan workers could pay for themselves.
We already pay more for less than any other country, we are simply doing it wrong.
BTW, I already pay for my own insurance, just like the majority of the country does.

The reason they cover people now it that they need to in order to attracted and keep employees and they get tax break of nearly 300 billion a year to do it. Businesses need employees as much as we need jobs, and if one company screws them, they will look for a job at one that does not so those that drop the coverage will have to pay their employee what they saved in wages so they can buy their own insurance. Democrats have more faith in the free market than you seem to.

Yeah, businesses will simply choose NOT to provide any insurance -they won't directly say this- but the expectation will be there for the employee to just 'go on the government plan'..what a mess!

Many in the middle didn't realize this - or rather, they believed Obama's bald-faced lies. Many on the left, including those who drafted the legislation, knew this all along and are hoping that the outcry will lead people to ask the government to take it over, which is what the left wanted all along.
Conservatives knew this, predicted it, and were ignored.
About 60% or more of the public wants this repealed. If the Republicans do their job, it will be. Otherwise, we're in deep trouble.

You know how when you're making car payments and you have two years to go but you decide you want a different car so you throw the old car off a cliff and buy a new car and now you're making payments on two cars but you have only one car?
That's how those brilliant Republicans think it works.

Many companies that currently offer health care do so because 1) it is the right thing to do, and 2) because it is part of their overall competitive compensation package. Those that don't offer health care benefits are shirking their responsibility.
