Think you've read my mind when asking this Q, Steve. Exactly what I'm wondering about my pc, do I fix or replace it. Depends normally what it is? and if it will cost more to repair than to replace.

Option 1. You could remove the glass unit, separate the two panes and replace just one as a single pane. That's the cheapest option and worked for us until we decided to go for option 2 below. Option 2. You can get replacement double glazed units made to measure which aren't too expensive - certainly a lot cheaper than replacing the window. You can't really re-double glaze the same unit as the glass is normally stained inside once they have misted up.

If I can repair it then I will, but if I can't then it has to be replaced

  • LOL....yes. These days it's more expensive to have it repair than buying a new one.
