How old does a pro rodeo horse have to be before they retire the horse?

For a bucking horse or any horse, There is no age where they retire them from the arena. I personally have seen them in there 20ies. When a rodeo horse quits performing than they retire them. The stock contractor only wants to use horses that perform. Hope this helps.
