Don't you think its ironic that both of their last names are Peterson?
Also, don't you think its ironic that there wife's similar sounding names?

Pretty much says don't marry any guy named Peterson, and if you do - don't get pregnant.

You can't include Scott Peterson on your list (of two!) as the best and the brightest have pointed out that he didn't kill his wife. So now you have one example and must compare that to the many law enforcement personnel named Peterson, apart from thousands more in many other fields. Looks like your rule doesn't help.
If you really want a rule, better to avoid men with the middle name of Wayne. There is some (disturbing!) evidence for that rule!

Peterson is a fairly common last name. It's just a coincidence.
There are millions of other men named Peterson who haven't killed their wives.
