Canada has several very good fashion design programs and they are not all in Toronto. Most schools have similar requirements. They all want several sample garments that you have made for yourself or others, they want "Inspiration portfolios" that is pictures, cut outs, fabrics swatches, and sketches of ideas that you have and all the school require a sewing proficiency test. If you are in high school go to your career or guidance department and ask for assistance in obtaining catalogues from the various schools and the required paperwork. All the schools have detailed information for prospective students on their websites.
Here's the Toronto Fashion Incubator list of fashion schools in Canada: http://www.fashionincubator.com/resources/becoming... complete with weblinks to all the schools. The Toronto site should have lots of information to help you understand the fashion biz in Canada. The two top fashion schools, are Vancouver's VCAD and Ryerson in Toronto. There's more similarities than differences in the others, Ryerson is the only one grants Bachelor and Master's level degrees. Here's the overview of Ryerson's program: http://www.ryerson.ca/fashion/
And that should get you started.

you want enjoy and a measure. whilst you pass to college for it you are going to graduate with skills of type layout as good as a portfolio of sketched designs you've created seeing that you are going to want this in your profession. that is what indicates employers that you're certified for the task. customarily after graduating college you are going to pass on internships to obtain paintings enjoy. the leisure takes to the air from there!
