Has anyone ever tried and succcessfully kept the ten commandments in dueteronomy?
(Jesus / Jehovah / The holy Spirit / The Kingdom of God) being the God
Worship And believe in God for who he is and not who you want Him to be
2. NO idols
(Do not worship, beauty, intelligence, wealth, charm, or poewr)
(Do not create an imitiation or socialized mimicry of spiritual regulations and structural truths that are found in the prophetic word of God by distorting or taking spiritual truth deprived from it's source and foundation)
3. Do not take the Lord's in Vain
Do not say things about God that are not true or talk about Him the way you would talk about your friends or boyfriends
4. Keep the Sabbath Holy
Set aside 1/7th of your week for God... or set aside time for God
Do not believe the bible without first understanding it's meaning
5. Honor your Father and Mother
Honor the ones who took care of you and brought you up, also the ones who make sacrifices for you
Honor Love and Wisdom
6. Do not Murder
Do not put an axe to kill somebody
Do not destroy others mentally, emotionally or spiritually
Do not be angry at somebody without cause or hate others
7. Do not Commit adultery
Do not lust after men or woman in your heart
Do not let other people determine your sense of self-worth by judging yourself on superficial, man made values and qualities of being... (such as your hair, your make up, your education, your charm)
8. Do not Steal
Do not take things that don't belong to you or take things you didn't earn
Do not rob either yourself or others of their integrity, time, or effort
9. Do not bear false witness
Do not slander others
Do not pretend to be more righteous than you are or misrepresent the Christian faith
10. Do not covet
Do not be jealous of other people, or live for the carnal pleasures
Do not be stingy about sharing your love, grace, goodness, time, effort or help with the underserving or the feeble minded...
The bible says if you
a) Keep the ten commandments
b) Obstain from comitting spiritual sins
And also if you fear God and loathe / detest/ hate the practice of religious sins...
that God will resurrect you from the grave and give your spiritual, emotional and mental prosperity...
This sounds too good and too easy to be true and I wander if I am lacking something here or if I am interpreting the bible in error...
What do you think?
