Poppycock and balderdash!
You must think Americans are truly STUPID if they would trust cult-controlled ECONOMY-DESTROYING Republican right-wingers back into power! Just how is the oil spill "Obama's fault" when it was Cheney's Halliburton that sparked the leak by rupturing a pipe while laying concrete, and it was Reagan who created the corrupt MSS on January 19, 1982, and it was GW Bush's Secretary of Interior who PROMOTED an incompetent oil-affiliated crony in MSS, Chris Oynes (a 12-year employee from the GOP-totalitarian days), even after Oynes was responsible for an off-shore leasing foul-up that cost American taxpayers more than $10 BILLION in lost revenues? Oynes, the Obama administration uncovered, allowed oil industry officials to fill in "inspection" reports IN PENCIL the whole time Republicans were in power, and then had his "oversight" subordinates go over the pencil in INK to have these reports seem authentic.
Since when has the Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (a.k.a., "Stimulus") "failed" as you suggest? The first half of the $787 was distributed in 2009 and the second half has yet to be disbursed---the Recovery Act was designed for a TWO-YEAR distribution in order to gently nudge and sustain our economy over a longer period. Jobs are being created now, slowly but steadily, instead of HEMORRHAGING the 800,000 a month that were being lost in 2008 and the early part of 2009 in the wake of the BUSH/CHENEY/GOP totalitarianism-caused housing/credit markets' COLLAPSE that began, according to National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," in 2004 and 2005 and then the gigantic FINANCIAL SYSTEM MELTDOWN from all the GOP's DEREGULATION and UPSIDE-DOWN ECONOMIC POLICIES (Krugman, 2008)!
Reagan's unemployment figures rose to over 10%, don't forget, so 9.9% in the wake of a GLOBAL RECESSION that was caused by Republican control right here in the U.S. of A., is NOT as you suggest "record unemployment"---and you are conveniently omitting (or overlooking) the new manufacturing projects and plants that have arisen thanks to the Obama administration's ongoing PUSH for his Green Energies Technologies Initiative. Check out states like Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, etc., and you will discover new manufacturing projects for solar panels, solar-powered batteries or cars, wind turbines, windmills, hybrid car batteries, clean-coal technologies, etc. Massachusetts recently announced a new WIND FARM project.
How are the two Bush/Cheney-initiated wars "failed"? The ILLEGAL war in Iraq had our troops pulled back last year, out of the Iraqi cities and towns so that the Iraq army and police trained by our troops could begin to handle their own defense. Iraq's leader Malaki asked the Obama administration if our troops could remain as back-up until after the election (which our troops did) and they are scheduled to return THIS MONTH (June). This return of our troops may cause a temporary SPIKE in unemployment figures---so don't jump the gun on the blame-game if this spike occurs, okay? The war in Afghanistan was FAILING under the Bush/Cheney leadership including at Tora Bora in 2001 when bin Laden could have been captured but the Bush administration refused to okay that capture---perhaps due to the Bush family's long-time friendship with the bin Laden Family of Saudi Arabia (see "Fahrenheit 9/11"). President Obama did exactly what he said he would do during the campaign---he sent reinforcements and also got Russia's leaders (PM Putin and President Medvedev) to let us fly weapons, equipment, and troops through Russian airspace---a remarkable achievement and a cost-cutting one too. The troops in Afghanistan are scheduled for a 2011 return if all goes according to plan.
If every "pole" (as in GOP right-wing hypocrites being hoisted on their "own petard" pole?) says what you claim, how come incumbant Republicans are losing their primaries to their own lab-created Tea Potty-supported candidates? lol
