Radical individualism places the rights of the individual over those of society, rather than considering the good to society over the rights of the individual. People in this state of mind tend to neglect their responsibilities as a citizen often adapting the “what’s in it for me?” attitude. Their concern quickly become fixated on material and economic advancement, disregarding…

Radical Individualism leads one to isolate themselves from society ,such individualism without corresponding community, at times is a recipe for disaster.

It's a rebellion to ideals that have been forced upon them by parents, religious authorities, teachers, or some other figure in their life. They are acting out because they realize the B.S. these people are trying to force feed them and want to get away from it so bad that they act out in different ways including odd dress\fashion, cult or extreme religious sects, gang activity ect. Also note that most radical individualism is actually not individualism since it usually involves becoming attached to a group that is all ready involved in such said activities. It can also be attributed to loneliness, sexual and physical abuse, poverty and mental disorders.

It could be a number of things ranging from extreme objectivist capitalism (Randian idealists/cut-throat corporate pirates) to anti-civilization anarcho-primitivists (as someone stated earlier, the Unabomber.)

Source(s): <---Radical individualist sans the bombs EDIT: the answer below me is very good but neglects to mention that the other side of radical individualism is the REJECTION of the quest for material and economic satisfaction since those things matter little outside of civilized society.

Never heard of it. Probably the circles I'm in. Individualism is the American way. My guess is this is some kind of slam by the far left radical collectivists.
