Someplace meaningful for you. It could be your back of your ankle or your breastbone - pretty much anywhere.

Placement would depend a lot on size and your work future too.

I've seen them look good between the shoulder blades, and in the center of the chest, on guys, or just above the waistline in back on girls. Obviously, I prefer them on the center line of the body.

If it was me though, I wouldn't get one at all. I doubt I'll ever get a tattoo, because I can always imagine it either looking lousy when I'm 60, or having later regrets, or both.
