Is my poem alright? :)?

Words are like a river

Flowing towards their destination

Words always travel to the end

The closing of a letter, a book or just a

Poem.

Sure but if you're after freeverse, you ought to avoid very long lines so the reader can quickly grasp your meaning. Just me, I feel that words don't always flow to their destination. If a poem is poorly written, verses out of rhythm, couplets out of rhyme, in syncopated time, they leave you dangling. That's why we have book markers, non?

"Words always travel to the end" may read better if you drop "words always" and change "travel" to "traveling".

other than that, it a cute little poem. :-)

  • It is a great poem for an amateur. Better than I have seen from one in a long time. It is really cute! And I feel emotion, effort, and truth. Thus making it a masterpiece in my eyes.
