Update:

Sarcastic ":bbp:" I meant the culture not the decade.

80's ARE the best decade in the History of Music.:) It ended when because this world couldnt handle its Epicness.

First of all, they weren't and secondly a decade by definition only lasts ten years. If you miss some of the fads of the 80's, headbands, big hair, spandex, don't worry they'll come back, the 60's did!

For quality of life, for the average person in the US, the 50s was the best decade in recent times.

it has to do with the concept of time, and also the amount of time we consider to be a decade. there are only ten years in a decade, because after that the next decade would be there. if the 80s continued they would overlap with the 90s, causing tons of issues with the flow of time...

The clock decided. Another reason is, that Ronald Regan was brain dead, and we had 8 years of total silence on the part of politicians, so we all had time to think in the vacuum.

What kind of question is this? The '80s were a period from 1980 to 1990. You can't stop time..so obviously it had to end.

Because the 90's came? Is this a trick question?

All good things must come to an end, and fortunately, all bad things too.

  • do you mean, "if the 80's was the best decade, why did it end?"...and that's like asking "why cant i stop time?".....sorry, cant answer that :)

All good things must end, like life.
