I have the newer MacBook Pro 13in. and I Ordered a 22 in LG monitor for it, I'm not sure which cables I need to plug it in and have the best results.

this is the monitor i ordered: http://www.amazon.com/LG-W2253TQ-PF-22-Inch-Widesc...

According to LG's specifications, that monitor you linked to has a DVI port: http://www.lg.com/au/it-products/monitors/LG-wide-...

To use that monitor with your Macbook Pro, you want to get the miniDisplayPort-to-DVI adapter and a standard DVI monitor cable.

    Hope this helps.

I would guess it to be DVI. VGA is more or less phased out these days.
