Sounds like you are making a great and informed start, I'm sure as you stick with it you will see yourself improve bit by bit and then be able to focus more on breath, focus, and relaxation once you improve you balance and learn the poses. I come from a background in dance (15 years) but it still took me 6 months of practicing yoga twice a week to reach a place where i felt like i could perform flowing routines with grace and ease and without over thinking. The most important thing to remember is yoga is about improving health and quality of life overall, it is not about perfection or skill level. What's most important is you and your body's benefit not performing a routine perfectly. In worrying about not doing everything "right" or stressing about all the little parts (that will eventually come together naturally) you want to make sure you don't lose that added benefits. Focus on how well you feel, how your attention and digestion are, if you are sleeping better, if you get stronger and can hold poses longer, have less aches and pains, etc. That will show your true improvement.
