Would you rather be Chairman Steele or TX Gov. Perry?

It's a tough call. Both get to live it up. While Perry hasn't been shown, as of yet, to be spending his money at sex clubs, he has spent $130k from his campaign fund for parties at his mansion since 2007. He got to pimp out a rental mansion and live a luxurious life at a cost of $592k since 2007 for rent, furnishing, etc. And I don't think that Steele got $196k/yr for staff to look after his mansion and toys. To top it off, Perry gets another $150k/yr in salary. I might have to go Perry on this one.

Man, it really pays to preach fiscal responsibility.

Update:

Casy - Point taken. Perry only spent 43k per year. Maybe somewhere in that $196k/yr are the costs for party cleanup.

KITTEH - Wouldn't that be sweet? I like competition of ideas. Since TX is the 3rd largest DoD funds recipient and received 4.7 billion in food and nutrition services, some of that austerity might change.

Goodluck - How does that differ from Palin?

Impeach Me - All figures that you disagree with are wrong, right? Even though they were filed with the State, right? Under threat of imprisonment?

The problem I would have with being Perry is - he runs Texas, which is full of Texans. So, I'd have to go with Steele. Nothing like persuading rich folk to part with their money. Which kind of donor are you Stars? lol

Neither...but look at the Republicans on here...

"the figures are wrong": no proof. The say the AP lies when it is against Republicans but tout it loudly when it is anti-Democrat.

"The mansion is under repairs, what should he do?" Maybe take a place that is not "6,386-square-foot rental sitting on more than three acres and was advertised in 2007 for sale at $1.85 million. Perry's state-paid expenses at the home include $18,000 for "consumables" such as household supplies and cleaning products, $1,001.46 in window coverings from upscale retailer Neiman Marcus, a $1,000 "emergency repair" of the governor's filtered ice machine, a $700 clothes rack, and a little over $70 for a two year subscription to Food & Wine Magazine."

Oh and Michael Steele...? He want you to know that after taxes, a million dollars is not that much...

    Neither.

Yeah, so does Harry Reid, Pelosi--who flies her family and herself around on government aircraft for several hundred thousand dollars a flight, and Mr. Global Warming, himself, Al Gore, who's building a multi-million dollar house out in California that will dwarf his Carolina mansion. He uses his big SUVs to get to the airport to fly in his private plane between the two. Get a clue!
