It is indeed reffering to the Jews because the King James Bible says, "He came unto his own, and his own received him not" John 1:11 Jesus was born of the Jewish Faith and died in the Jewish faith. His own people the, the Jews initiated his death as well as the Romans, but all man are reaonsible for the Crucififixion of Christ. Think about what did Jesus died for? He died for the sins for all mankind in the past, present and future. So don't say it was only the Jews that crucified Jesus, it was us all. All man has fell short of the glory. For one, lets go back to the beginning when God created Adam and Eve. God gave Adam dominion of every beast and living thing. Adam was the head of his household. God created Eve as his helper. We all heard the story of how Eve ate the fruit and supposely ran and found Adam then Adam ate of the same fruit. Wrong, Gen.3:6 "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof,er husband with her: and he did eat." Adam was with her the whole time. What kind of man is that!! He just sat their and watch as his wife bit of the fruit of the forrdidden tree, then eat of it his self? Notice in Gen 3:9 how God calls out Adam. Did he say Eve or even Adam and Eve? No, he just said Adam, the man he had put in charge of all living things. And what does Adam say in Gen.3:12? He puts all the blame on his wife, you call this a man!! Because of what Adam did and didn't do all mankind are cursed with death through sin. What an outstanding, just, and merciful God I serve, to send his only son, Jesus Christ, to be crucified, die, and rise again with all power. Think about it, would you take a person in as your own, and raise him up with love after that same person has killed your son or daughter?
