While I don't believe you will have trouble being approved, I do think that there should be more examination into the health of prospective adoptive parents. I agree with Andraya & Linny...adoptees being placed into a situation where a parent is already at risk of heart attack, stroke, etc., is really unfair, given the fact that they have already experienced a loss. With PCOS comes other risks as well, including Type 2 Diabetes. The risks are long term and degenerative, as well as acute. And I know that this is an unpopular opinion here among some, but I'm sorry, APs SHOULD be held to a higher standard. We are signing on to raise someone else's child. It's a privilege that should be acknowledged and taken seriously.
