Is as secure as it ever has been. My question is, when has it ever been secure?

She is a puppet for the current administration and is told what to say. Just like the rest of them. LIBERAL DEMOCRATS IN POWER = Pro illegal immigration. That is why she said that. When she was a governor she didnt do anything about it and shes not going to do anything about it now. The liberals want the hispanic vote. They cant get it if they get serious on illegal immigration and actually enforce the laws we have now. So they they ignore that fact that every day american citizens in this country fall prey to illegal immigrant MS-13 gang members. THEY DONT CARE.

I believe the year it was most secure was in 1809. Then, no Mexican immigrants at all managed to cross the border into the United States and the border patrol had a 100% success rate at a fraction of the cost of today.

Then again, there wasn't actually a Mexico or any Mexicans until 1810...

It has never been secure. The proof of that is in the fact that so many mexicans have made it over the border and are living here!

She is right, no change in over a hundred years, and they like it that way. Great Job Janet keep up the good not working and ok with it approach, I am sure as head of Homeland Security we all feel safer with her having this job.

What you never, ever hear about is that the northern border is where all the really dangerous illegals enter the US. No one cares about the Canadian border, but illegals from Asia, the Middle East and anyone wanting to avoid border patrols, enters from Canada.

Actually she's right, it's no better than it was at any given time so it's as secure as it's ever been in the past lol. Just picture swiss cheese with HUGE holes in it!

that is why there are more Mexican citizens dieing in Mexico just what? 100 yards form the american border, than in Iraq last year, that is why every month a estimated 1,000-1,500 ILLEGAL immigrants cross the into our country, and yes ILLEGAL meaning they did not do it LEGALLY, this woman could not run a hot dog stand.

She's an idiot. AZ has been known for YEARS to be where most illegals coming into this country will go. And now she's in charge of our NATIONS Homeland Defense ??

I bet she has a white flag in her office instead of the AMERICAN one.

It has never been secure. That's why Napolitano is able to make this claim.
