In many ways the social structure of a wolf pack is similar to that of humans. Wloves are naturally social (preferring to live in packs), but occassionally live alone or in pairs. They are prone to violence to wolves who live outside their pack, but able to show great affection within their pack and occasionally allow loners to join them. I think the reason people like them so much is that they mirrior us in many ways. The same thing with dolphins, and chimps. Humans are more likely to feel an attachment to animals that share characteristics with them.
Not to mention that wolves are intrinsically sweet, as noted in the now infamous review of the "Three wolf moon" t-shirt.
You must erotically dance with them in your dreams, LovelyWolf. You're obsessed by them because they're really beautiful creatures, witty and wise in the ways of the jungle and of men...
Wolves amazed me, too, ever since; sharp, slanting eyes, keen smell, graceful movements, long poignant howls on a full moon, hunting packs, gorgeous lovers (like the Italians hahaha) and faithful animals to their mates..
Wolverine is my idol...
