Is it ok to remove LoudMo Contextual Ad Assistant from my computer?

So I was just looking through my 'Add or Remove Programs' thing and I saw 'LoudMo Contextual Ad Assistant'. I have no idea what it is and I don't remember ever downloading it before. So now I want to remove from the computer, but I'm not sure if it's okay. Will something happen to the computer system if I remove it?

It's adware, get rid of it.

As a long term solution, why not download a Linux distribution (such as Ubuntu) and use that. As far as I know, most users don't bother with antivirus software, I know I don't. After about a year of no antivirus software, I decided to download a Linux one and it found nothing.
