Just started working out, and I gained weight, but I cant tell where it went?

Just recently started working out to gain muscle mass a little over 2 months ago, I've been taking protein and eating more. My normal weight before working out was 165-170, I am 185lbs now, but I cant tell where 15lbs went. I see little result but not 15lbs worth...How can I tell where the weight is going, and how come I cant tell that I gained 10-15lbs

    you are gaining muscle and losing fat. your body shape will change and become leaner. it means that what you are doing is working.
