That's a really eclectic bunch, but here goes:

    Pat Metheny

    Genesis

    Brian Eno

    Talking Heads

    Mingus

    Ravel

    The Police

    King Crimson

    Procol Harum

    Transatlantic

    Dream Theater

    Porcupine Tree

    Talking Heads

    Kansas

    Styx

    Gentle Giant

    The Move

    Kate Bush

BQ: only a 3, but your varied selection of artists made it interesting.

Source(s): Don't know Ween, The Shins, Outkast or Arcade Fire

Tom Petty Electric Light Orchestra Supertramp Jethro Tull Simon & Garfunkel The Animals Cat Stevens Gerry Rafferty The Moody Blues Neil Young

    Dream Theater

    Talking Heads

    Shins

    Police

    Genesis

    Arcade Fire

    Kansas

    Procol Harum

    Pat Metheny Group

...and the rest I don't really feel like I know well enough to rank. Outkast, for instance ~ I only know one or two of their songs. Styx ~ only *like* one or two of their songs. Porcupine Tree ~ been meaning to check them out.... Etc. Would also like to 'get to know' Kate Bush better.

    dream theater

    porcupine tree

    the shins

    king crimson

    kansas

    styx

    outkast

the first 3 are the ones I listen to the most. I actually like them a lot. The others pretty much all on your list you made I know and listen to very occasionally but not enough to actually rank them. and I quite like rating and ranking bands actually

Well I don't know too many of them......

    King Crimson

OutKast (Why are they on this list? Oh well, I'm glad they are. That's Andre 3000 as my profile pic, in case you didn't know.)

    The Police

    Arcade Fire

    Genesis

    Dream Theater

    Gentle Giant

    Brian Eno

    The Shins

BQ: Assuming I know all of the bands, 9.

Source(s): Since I like every one of the bands I know that you named here, I think I'll look up the others.

Not really my type of music, except I'd give Porcupine Tree and Kate Bush a 9 and OutKast a 7. I never give tens. :p

BA: 10, it's fun but usually I'm not a fan of what people post :/

2 things to add close to the top of your list (everyone should check these out as well):

-Gogol Bordello (this is a Gypsy punk band I saw on a movie called Kill Your Idols)

-Julian Casablancas (singer of The Strokes went solo!!!)
