    In formal or polite pattern.

    お返事が、大変遅れて申し訳ございません。

    (Ohenji ga, taihen okurete moushiwake gozaimasen.)

    If the party is not upper rank or unfamiliar person, you can say it more casually.

    返事が、だいぶ遅れてすみません。

    (Henji ga, daibu okurete sumimasen.)

    To your close person.

    返事、だいぶ遅くなって、ごめん(なさい)。

    (Henji, daibu osoku natte, gomen(-nasai).

    Henji = replying

    sayonara just means 'good bye'

    I know that do say I'm sorry it would be "Gomen nasai" ごめんなさい。

    Other than that, I don't know, good luck.
