There are many, many earthquakes everyday here in my home in Southern California. Most of them are barely felt by scientific instruments. Some get into the "3.0s", and we people on the ground still don't notice them. You get into the 4s, which are pretty rare, then we start noticing them, but they barely make your dining room's chandelier swing. A 7+, yes, that would be noticed (as the 7.2 we had a few days ago). So no, we did not have one today. If we *had* it would have been very obvious to you. You definitely would not have needed to Google it to find out if it had happened.

    So.. nope.

There were about 500 in southern California yesterday. Most were too small to feel, but depending on where you were you might have felt about 20.

Just another day here in the Golden State.
