    I would say none of the above. Nearly 90% of our populations were killed by bullets, poison, disease and starvation in the gold rush years. Entire towns were slaughtered in order to capture our children and sell them into servitude back east. Hanging was popular too, if we were caught gathering acorns that the ranchers wanted for their hogs. The advent of the Americans nearly exterminated us.
