Global Warming Deniers: How hot would it have to get before you will change your mind?

Is there a point at which you will reconsider? Say the thermometer reads 101 this summer.

How about 102? 105? 110? at 110 degrees would you reconsider? If not, how hot would it have to get? You don't have to agree that it is caused by man, just admit that the earth is warming.

As an aside, there are 20 cities with record breaking temperatures forecasted for today. Tomorrow, we are supposed to hit the 90 degree mark in Philadelphia. In April. the 7th.

Update:

There's a difference between weather and climate now? Wow, that is quite a change from your arguments this past winter!

Please don't use anecdotal weather conditions to promote or deny climate change.

The monotonic rise in sea surface temperature commiserate with CO2 increases in both the Atmosphere and oceans is sufficient

the two aspects of the international warming debate use climate to objective to tutor their element. The GW crowd has mentioned that warming ends up in greater extreme hurricanes and greater hurricanes greater often than not. The AGW crowd has asked why chilly climate and snow in temperate areas isn't data that worldwide warming would not exist. some state that there is a distinction between climate and climate, and someway they are able to decode what unusual climate means. the easy answer is that unusual climate neither proves or disproves the two argument besides the undeniable fact that, it is not authentic that climate and temperature at the instant are not appropriate. the essential concept of thermodynamics states that the internet substitute in inner means in a gadget equals the warmth means that flows in minus the means that flows out with the aid of artwork. This courting is written; dE = TdS - pdV the place E is means, T is temperature, S is entropy (subject remember for a later communicate), p is rigidity and V is quantity. The words TdS is warmth means flowing in on an identical time as pdV is artwork means out. As this is desirable to our atmosphere, the warmth means is the consequence particularly of the suns radiation and to a lots lesser quantity, the warmth created with the aid of people and another residing ingredient in the international. this warmth means would nicely be expended with the aid of doing artwork like lifting water vapor from the floor of the planet or it could radiate lower back out into the chilly vacuum of area. The earth is under no circumstances uniformly heated (the two with the aid of the sunlight or guy) and this contributes to unequal ranges of means in an identical atmosphere and corresponding ameliorations in rigidity. those ameliorations reason climate and different organic phenomena.

Change my mind about what? That CO2 is causing a warming of the climate? Look, even if the climate warms or cools, there are so many factors that can cause it, it does not necessarily mean it has anything to do with CO2 emissions. CO2 being the cause is the claim I take exception with. If the sun becomes more active it will get a lot warmer. If the sun becomes less active it will get a lot colder.

But if colder than normal temperatures in the Winter did not disprove it how can you say hotter than normal temperatures prove it?

  • Global warming believers: How many record cold days and record snowfalls would it take for you to change your mind?

"Today's weather" is utterly meaningless to your point.

    To be a "believer" REQUIRES:

    a) Lying; or

    b) Retardation; or

    c) ACTUAL belief in ALL of the following:

1- Having the climate move toward the one Earth had at the PEAK of its biodiversity would be "catastrophic."

2- Warming began about 100 years BEFORE the existence of what causes it.

3- Eliminating "cold-weather" reporting stations has no effect on the data's average.

4- The coldest year in modern record is "normal" and a fraction of a degree warmer than that proves a looming calamity.

ALL kidding aside, if you dispute ANY of those four things, YOU are a "denier."

There's no point in denying the climate is changing. But there is also no point in using local temperatures to base your beliefs. For example, record cold and snowfall occurred all over this winter. Did that change your belief?

The climate changes and will continue to change so long as the earth exists. The debate is whether or not man causes it. That is highly doubtful and the only resource you have to argue against my doubt, the IPCC, has shown itself to be a fraud.

How do you explain my current temperature being 30 degrees below the average today?

The climate has always changed on the planet and there isn't a goddamn thing we can do to stop it. Any luck plugging up a volcano lately? With 7 billion humans on the planet, this kind of crap is unstoppable. Paying taxes won't change it, driving cars that cost twice as much won't change it.

If it's too hot in Philly, move to the artic circle.

The actual temperature increase per decade is only 0.2 degrees C. You will not notice the difference from year to year. There is a big difference between climate and weather.

The Artic Ice caps are growing. Oh, you don't watch Fox News so you didn't hear. Sorry.

Scientists have discovered that the size of the Arctic ice cap has increased sharply to levels not seen since 2001.

A shift in the chilly winds across the Bering Sea over the past few months has caused thousands of square miles of ocean to freeze.

The same phenomenon is also partly responsible for the cold winter experienced in New York and the eastern US this year. It allowed icy blasts of air to escape from the Arctic and make their way south.

Climate change has been going on for billions of years without input from man. Besides I love how record high temps are proof as are record low temps.

Basically global warming is bullshit and way over exagerated, if what a lot of scientists are saying now is true then we are f**ked already. A lot of evidence has been proved to be bogus and some fraudulently produced. Not to mention we've just had the coldest winter in decades.

Global warming does not exist. Only politicians support global warming, not scientists.
