What are some good gay-themed plays?
I know "Angels in America" is a good one, but I'm wondering if there are any other gay-themed plays out there that I could possibly pull a monologue out of. I'm 23 years old, and a male.

My favorite is the Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman, but that's about two women. My second favorite would have to be The Laramie Project, but I've included a link to a long list of other plays that deal with LGBT issues.Source(s): http://www.buddybuddy.com/pc-most.html

The Laramie Project. It's PERFECT for your purpose actually. It's a series of monologues! It's a whole bunch of interviews put together into a play about the murder of Matthew Sheppard, a gay Wyoming resident.

I don't know, though, there were quite a few transvestite-themed plays back in the good old days.
