Switchblade Laws For Ohio?

now does that mean that if I have it like hanging as a necklace or something it is ok?

Switchblades are legal to be owned in Ohio as a collectable item only. The moment you wear it, carry it, display it or threaten someone with it, it is possession of a dangerous weapon ( felony ).
If you want to purchase and display this in your home, that is legal in this state, but you cannot carry it outside.

(3) Manufacture, possess for sale, sell, or furnish to any person other than a law enforcement agency for authorized use in police work, any brass knuckles, cestus, billy, blackjack, sandbag, switchblade knife, springblade knife, gravity knife, or similar weapon... (B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of unlawful transactions in weapons. A violation of division (A)(1) or (2) of this section is a felony of the fourth degree. A violation of division (A)(3) or (4) of this section is a misdemeanor of the second degree. A violation of division (A)(5) of this section is a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. * * * *
