When I lived in Switzerland (in the French speaking part) I liked the following artists, all R&B and hip hop, so I don't know what you're into, but they were always on TV and the radio: Shy'm, Fatal Bazooka, Vitaa, Bob Sinclar, Kamini, TTC. They listen to a lot of American and British music too. Good luck!

Try the music of Maurice Chevalier, Michel Legrand, Edith Piaf, Stephane Grappelli, and Josephine Baker. Although not French born, Baker later became a French citizen, she frequently sang in French, and her style was very French influenced.
