這首歌曲來自於19世紀的歌劇「波西米亞女郎」The Bohemian Girl.而廣為流傳至今，

天使女伶Celtic Woman也錄製過這首歌

這歌出現在我最喜歡的電影《純真年代》（The Age of Innocence）中

愛爾蘭籍作家詹姆斯·喬伊斯James Joyce很有名的小說集《都柏林人》（Dubliners）當中的《泥土》（Clay）這篇短篇小說也引述了這首歌
