Sorry, for me it was absolutely the worst representation of Alice in Wonderland imaginable, and I'm glad I didn't waste money to see it in 3D. Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be about a girl in a world of nonsense. Where was the nonsense in this movie? Everything made sense. And Alice slays a dragon!? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Where is the humor and silliness and the singing? I read about how Johnny Depp tried to ground his character as opposed to him just being mad, and I think he does a great job doing that. In fact the only thing I liked about the movie was the acting, especially Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. But the Mad Hatter is supposed to be mad. I realize the 3D must have been great and is probably one of the main reasons people like it, just like people liked Avatar mainly because of the 3D and the visual effects. Don't know what you mean by "TOP 3", but this movie has a 52% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Not to say that Tim Burton didn't do a good job, but it just wasn't Alice.
