I'm learning to crochet and i would like to make legwarmers. Does anyone have easy directions or patterns?
Also when I look at the online pattens, the material needed list says, one ball of yarn or 2 ounces of yarn? What does this mean? The yarn I bought only says how much yards it is which is 244.

It should also list the weight. The yardage is listed on the back of the wrapper, with the technical details like hook size and gauge and all that. The weight should be listed on the front, right under the name of the yarn or off to the side of it. Unless you have extremely thin yarn (weight group 2, maybe) your 244 yards will be closer to 4oz to 6oz.
If you still can't find the weight, email me with the name of your yarn and the weight group. I can probably help from there.
I have never seen crocheted leg warmers, only knitted ones. That sounds interesting.
