Iraq: You must remember that JFK was the President that took us to DEFCON 2 in 1962, that was one step from WWIII. He was a tough aggressive man, unlike Senator Reid and Congresswoman Pelosi. He repeatedly used the CIA in violent covert operations once in the well known ill fated Bay of Pigs invasion and the less well known military coup in Iraq where the Iraqi baath military wiped out the leftist and communist elite of Iraq and I do mean wiped out. If JFK would have been President at the time of 9/11, there would have ZERO PRESS coverage of military and covert operations against the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Operations would have been world wide to have included even Saudi Arabia. He would not have told the American a lot of details other than, than he felt there was a threat and then he would have executed an operation so swiftly to include tactical nukes and fuel air bombs. He was a man who believed in swift military action. JFK would have approved of the use of unconventional interrogation methods and there would have been no Gitmo, because those prisoners would have never reached there.
On the issues of Civil rights both Pelosi and Reid would have been in agreement with him except some of Pelosi's views. IMHO her views would have been over the top on for JFK on gay rights issues.
Both Reid and Pelosi would have been in line with JFK's policies on immigration, in that he wished to increase Latin immigration quotas inorder to reunite families. This in my opinion coming from his Catholic background. Pelosi's coming from garnering votes. Reid from trying to help immigrant youth gain a new start on life here in the USA through education and obtaining a better job and thus tax base.
On Pro-education and Pro-technology issues both Pelosi and Reid ideas would have been approved of by JFK, considering his great space efforts and Nuclear test ban treaty. Reid's reluctance for nuke waste disposal at Yucca Flats, Nv. and his proposed tax on oil companies and taking the money and using it for R&D for alternative fuel engines. Pelosi's similar pro-alternative fuel technology stance and anti fossil fuel policies (though he may have found her to be a bit haste in implementing the one while cutting off the latter).
He would have approved Reid's pro-death penalty stance, since JFK was the last President to oversee a Federal execution (he specifically denied the appeal).
The only foreign policy issue that I think JFK would CLEARLY agree with both Reid and Pelosi on would be Israel. Both the Senator and Pelosi support Israel's right to exist. JFK was a supported of Israel as well, though perhaps not an ardent one.
