Is science against God?

I don't believe so. What better way to learn more about God's great Creation than through science?

Broken -- you are so right. God opens our eyes in various way; science is just one of them.

An open mind and a broken heart are needed for God to have room in your life.

    Blessings! (see you in Heaven)

Science just is. It's a method (a proven, reliable one) for determining facts about the world and universe. It's not for or against anything, especially mythical gods.

You should be aware, however, that no piece of evidence or knowledge ever found by science shows any indication of any kind of a "god." So assuming (without evidence) that it supports "god's creation" is rather an unsupportable statement.

    Peace.

    Of Course

Science has served humanity well. Through it we have discovered countless natural laws of the universe, and we use that knowledge to make our lives easier in every area of our existence. But to limit a theist's proofs to the confines of what the atheist demands is terribly one-sided. To a Christian, there are experiences that science and logic cannot explain. The atheist needs to recognize we have experiences that are life changing. No mere psychological set of theories can explain the changes in our lives. So please, don't mock them. Can science nail down all that exists in mind, body, and soul? No. Can it quantify the beauty of a sunset, the cooing of a baby, or the love of a man and a woman? Science and logic have served us well, but they are not the ultimate truth to all things.

Of course, that does not mean we ignore science. In fact, we use it in our proofs for God. But to limit the playing field to your set of rules is an improper way to start. It is mostly an attempt to initiate control and keep command of the conversation by setting the ground rules according to your criteria.

Though an atheist may not accept biblical evidence as support for God's existence, it does not negate the fact that the Bible is evidence. Whether or not the atheist wants to accept it is another matter.

Science is no more against God than guns are against people.

Guns and science don't care, they are tools used by people.

If God is real then how can he be against Science? If God is real then God created Science because science is happening all around. And we have more than enough proof. Just look at what is going on out in space.

Science is the discovery of facts about the world

A religion is specifically belief in something there is no fact for.

So yes science is in a way against religions, however that isn't the case in all scientific topics, but essentially science is almost the opposite of religion

Any one who uses science to prove there is a God is folly, The just shall live by faith, and faith comes hearing the Word of God, Romans 1: 17 and Romans 10:17

1 Timothy 6: 20-21 says that science is falsely called and they who go its way to seek God have erred from the faith which means they forsake the knowledge and faith scripture gives.

If you examine the results of they who use science as the means to explain God can breathe their last breath and loose their own soul. Its like after you find water in the desert being without water for five days, you then just die knowing there was water, having not lived by drinking it.

Science does not want to loose government funding and is why they try through appealing to the good science, like for medical purposes, things of research for good. But science that says their looking to prove God exist, is folly and error. He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He rewards them who do diligently seek Him.

You wouldn't search for a job saying all the while i'm not going to find a job would you. Where then the faith?

If the bible, the Word of God doesn't give faith, where then the believing heart? And what is it you believe, without the Spirit of God?

No Christians here on R/S has ever said that science is not good, they have although said that they who are on a quest to denounce God seems to be the result and voice coming from many many many therein.

I myself am very interested in science in methodology to search for aiding quality of life, but to use it any other means that is against God or robbing God from His authorship of creator, is plainly satan at his work.

Stay tune and listen to the voices of them who embrace science in the negative was when it is then in the pool of being falsely called her on R/S. Many of them think they derive from monkeys robbing Gos who says we are made in His image and likeness, second here many of them call christians to be on drugs because they believe in a fairy tale god, etc THAT'S SCIENCE FOR YOU IN THE NEGATIVE.

Listen to wisdom; "Wow to you rebellious children who take counsel but not of Me, says the LORD and who cover with a covering but not of my Spirit, so that you add sin to sin" Isaiah 30: 1

Science is not against anything. Science tries to investigate the nature of things, it tries to find out what things are and how they work.

science is meant to understand the natural world, religions is meant to give meaning to that world.

the issues is, a lot of what religion says has been shown false by science. its not sciences fault that religion was wrong to begin with.
