Who Cares? Yeah he was using "expletives" but it was on his own radio, so its not like he was cursing on a tv interview or anything. He was frustrated with the fact that Nascar can come up with a better system instead of just picking cars out at certain points and bust them. They were saying on the radio that Jeff Gordon, due to his pit stall position and the timing lines, could punch the gas going into his stall making him obviously exceed the speed Dale Jr had. It just depends on the timing line locations that determines who speeds and who doesn't. In Gordon's case, wherever he was located in the pits, he was behind the 1st timing line so when he got past that point he could basically cheat the speeds because the next timing line wouldn't pick it up until he was closer. Thats why there does need to be some changes done. It doesn't keep guys from speeding over the whole course of pit road, it keeps them from speeding at certain points and thats the flaw in the system that Dale Jr was pointing out. If he sped, he sped and there is no changing that, but just because the timing lines are located in different positions doesn't mean that other cars should be able to use that to there advantage. It was the same for Jr on exit of his pit stall, he could speed as much as he wanted out of his stall because he was past the last timing line. So to me, if you're going 80mph down the highway and you know where the smokeys hang out and bust people, and you slow down when you approach that area, you're still speeding the rest of the time, but you're just not getting caught. That's what Dale Jr was saying and NO he shouldn't be penalized for that. Nascar can be criticised all they want because we live in the United States and until Obama changes everything, we still have freedom of speech, unless that was part of the health care "reform" that went away too.
