If it is an 8.7 out of 10, then yes, that is a fairly good GPA. However, college GPAs are usually measured on a 0-4 scale so some might find your question a little confusing.

Hahahaa.... oh, it's not a joke? There's such thing as an 8.7 GPA? I don't know how colleges put up with all the things high schools do to fakely inflate GPAs... I'd just reject every applicant who doesn't come in with a standard 4.0 GPA. period. GPAs go for 0 to 4. That's it. Otherwise it's not a GPA. Maybe it's a percentage, or some other signifier... but it's not a GPA.

I don't think you can get that high of a GPA unless your not from America.
